1. The service is an arithmetic and recordkeeping tool
CA Judgment Calculator helps users calculate a California judgment balance, organize a judgment history, and generate reports from information they provide. It is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any court or government agency.
It does not provide legal advice. It does not decide the correct interest rate, whether a cost is recoverable, whether a statute applies, what enforcement action is proper, or whether a court filing is accurate or complete.
You are responsible for reviewing every input, calculation, report, statutory reference, supporting document, deadline, and court form before relying on or filing it. Consult a qualified lawyer when you need legal advice.
2. Accounts and the free trial
The public calculator does not require an account. Judgment Ledger features require an individual verified sign-in identity. Do not share passwords. Each authorized user must use a separate identity.
A new eligible account receives one application-managed free trial. The account-creation date is Day 1, and the trial ends after Day 7 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, immediately before the exclusive start of Pacific Day 8. It allows up to three simultaneously open judgments. No credit card is required, and the trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. Deleting judgments or an account does not create another trial.
3. Annual plans, consent, renewal, and cancellation
The service operator and subscription vendor is Writs R Us, 1014 Broadway, #650, Santa Monica, CA 90401. Billing and subscription support is available at support@cajudgmentcalculator.com.
We offer four annual plans. Individual costs $39.99 and includes 1 open judgment, the account owner plus 1 additional authorized user, and 2 total seats. Individual Plus costs $79.99 and includes 5 open judgments, the account owner plus up to 5 additional authorized users, and 6 total seats. Professional costs $199.99 and includes 25 open judgments, the account owner plus up to 5 additional authorized users, and 6 total seats. Professional Plus costs $299.99 and includes 50 open judgments, the account owner plus up to 5 additional authorized users, and 6 total seats. Contact support@cajudgmentcalculator.com for more than 50 open judgments.
Immediately before checkout, the account owner must affirmatively agree to the selected plan, price, annual billing frequency, automatic-renewal terms, cancellation timing, refund rule, and the then-current Terms and Privacy Policy. The checkbox is not preselected.
Paid plans automatically renew each year at the disclosed annual price unless we give required advance notice of a price change or you cancel automatic renewal before the next renewal. We will provide a clear annual renewal notice at least 30 days, and no more than 45 days, before renewal. Sign in to the Account Center and select Manage Billing to cancel automatic renewal. Your cancellation turns off automatic renewal as soon as it is completed, so you will not be charged for another term. Paid access continues through the verified paid-through timestamp at the end of your current paid term. Cancellation does not provide a prorated refund or credit.
After payment is confirmed, we provide a retainable purchase acknowledgment stating the operator and business address, plan, annual plan price, amount paid, paid date, subscription term, renewal terms, cancellation method, refund rule, policy versions, and support contact. You can open the acknowledgment in the authenticated Account Center to print or download a copy. We will also make it available to keep by email or on a payment-confirmation screen.
4. Upgrades and downgrades
Upgrades are support-assisted and take effect only after a successful prorated payment is confirmed. Downgrades take effect at renewal and require the account's open-judgment and seat counts to fit the new plan. Plan switching is not available through Manage Billing.
5. Failed renewal and suspension
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it. Paid access does not extend unless payment is confirmed. There is no additional grace period: access locks at the existing verified paid-through timestamp. If you successfully resolve the payment problem before deletion occurs, access may be restored.
6. Refunds
Annual charges are nonrefundable, and cancellation does not provide a prorated refund or credit. Exceptions may be made for duplicate or erroneous charges, when required by law, or as a discretionary support exception. Applicable taxes, if any, will be disclosed before payment.
7. Locked access and 45-day retention
When a trial or paid term ends, the account's judgments lock at the exact authoritative cutoff. A 45-day locked-retention period begins at that timestamp. If you purchase a subscription or successfully resolve a payment problem before deletion occurs, access may be restored. During the locked period, access to an already-preserved report may remain available under the applicable product rules; editing and creating new materials remain unavailable.
Judgment data becomes eligible for permanent deletion 45 days from the exact timestamp the account becomes locked. The full 45-day period must elapse before deletion occurs. We may then permanently delete judgment records, entries, preserved reports, document metadata, and uploaded files. This judgment-data deletion does not delete minimal consent evidence, purchase acknowledgments, transaction and accounting records, security records, or protected trial and anti-repeat history that must remain for their purpose or as legally required.
We retain verification of affirmative automatic-renewal consent for at least three years after consent or one year after subscription termination, whichever is longer. The retention deadline uses server-recorded acceptance and verified provider termination timestamps and cannot be shortened by browser input, scheduled cancellation, judgment deletion, judgment-data deletion after 45 days, or an account-deletion request. This evidence does not contain judgment contents, entries, notes, reports, uploaded documents, or stored files.
8. Judgment deletion and account deletion are separate
Delete This Judgment permanently removes the selected judgment and its related entries and documents after related file and metadata deletion is complete. It does not delete the sign-in identity or account and cannot create another trial. Judgment deletion and account deletion are separate.
Account deletion is currently handled through support. The account owner may request identity-verified deletion by emailing support@cajudgmentcalculator.com. An accepted account-deletion request turns off automatic renewal immediately, so you will not be charged for another term. Paid access ends when deletion is completed, and deletion does not provide a prorated refund or credit. Account content is permanently deleted except for limited transaction, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, legal-consent, and protected trial-history records that are legally required or reasonably necessary for those limited purposes. Retained consent evidence does not include judgment contents or files. Any active subscription termination must be verified before application-account deletion is completed.
We do not provide customer backup, restoration, recovery, or Undo services. Infrastructure providers may maintain limited security or disaster-recovery copies that customers cannot access. Those copies are deleted or overwritten under the providers' retention schedules, and we do not promise or provide restoration from them.
9. Your information and responsibility
You retain ownership of the judgment information and files you provide. You give the service permission to host, process, reproduce, and format that information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the requested service. You are responsible for having the right to upload and use it and for retaining your own authoritative copies.
10. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to violate law, infringe rights, access another person's account or data, distribute malware, disrupt or probe the service, bypass access controls or capacity limits, scrape private data, or misrepresent generated reports as court-certified or legal advice. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal compliance.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and calculations tested, but interruptions, maintenance, defects, or third-party outages can occur. Verify important results and keep the records you need outside the service. We may update features and these Terms. When required, we will present updated terms or notices before they apply.
